About
Hello! My name is Jessica Grönwall - entrepreneur and the mother of the funky clay creature family 💀
During the pandemic, in order to not lose my mind, I fell in love with clay and my creativity reawakened ⚡️
Today, I combine my corporate life with getting my hands dirty at the clay studio. At first throwing clay to create cups, pots, vases, eggcups, bowls and stuff. Eventually I started to build clay creatures 💀👣
The clay creatures have a couple of things in common but above all: two BIG 👣. Besides that, they are totally different. Each creature has its own unique essence and a big personality!
My inspiration depends on my mood and people I have crossed paths with. If you want me to interpret someone through clay - let me know! Most clay creatures are for sale, get in touch for more info 💌
I work out of Drejverkstaden – a studio in the heart of Stockholm, Sweden. Me and the owner Linn, will soon offer a leadership training in the studio where we will work with clay as a tool for creating effective and brave groups and individuals.

Process
-
Construction
Each clay creature is carefully shaped by hand, taking several sessions to build up the layers of clay. Each figurine is one-of-a-kind, but they all share a common feature: their charmingly oversized feet.
-
Painting
Once the figure is crafted, each part is painted using carefully chosen colors. Additionally, intricate details are added to enhance areas that require special attention.
-
Glazing
After the first firing the clay figures are glazed in a transparent clear glaze. Some areas are left unglazed to create interesting variations
